 Frisky Fingers This is a cycle which continues until the end of days. If you were hoping for something a little more after such a long wait, I’m sorry to disappoint. I really just needed to do something easy to get back into things. I’m hoping to have something better on Friday. um… A few weeks ago, (around the time I stopped updating), my grandma died. I haven’t wanted to talk about it here, or anywhere else really, but I thought I should say that she was an amazing lady and I miss her. She read all my comics and laughed at even the weird ones, and she wore both a Cloud and a “monocle-rich” shirt. Her hair was short and bright purple, she had carpal tunnel from playing video games, and a huge room in her house was devoted entirely to her artwork (oil paints, stained glass, sculpture, ceramics, watercolor, ink… and anything else she thought to try). She was the reason I wanted to be a professional artist when I grew up (at least in the 2nd grade), and without her I don’t think I would have started drawing comics. There’s so much more to say but it wouldn’t be enough; I just wish you all could have met her. |

I remember how it was when my Grandmother passed away…I’m sorry for your lost. It sounds like she was a great woman.

I recently had a grandmother pass away, as well, so I understand any delays or anything. It’s all cool.
Your grandmother sounds like a great person, too. You should try to be be happy you got to spend some time with her when you did! ^_^

Your grandmother sounds like an amazing woman. I really would have liked to meet her.
If you wanted, you could do a strip or an arc about her. What would be more appropriate than a comic about a women that inspired you to become a professional artist? (And, whether you like it or not, Awkward Adventures is professional quality.) An elderly women with purple hair would look great in your style. It might make you feel better, too though. Art is cathartic, and I think she would like it based on the brief description you have supplied us.
