 Does being a Euclidean Domain count as a super power? It’s ok if you don’t know the comic book characters Sean is talking about in the comic. I would have no idea if I didn’t get to hear about them ALL THE TIME. Thanks to Sean I also get to know about all the cool X-men… like deadpool! I was pretty busy last week, with homework and a midterm on Friday. One of the questions: “Let D be a principal ideal domain. let α ∈ D be irreducible. Prove that every non-zero element in D/<α> is a unit.” I read this far and at first I was excited, because I happened to know all the theorems and lemmas and propositions from the lecture that would prove this and then I read the rest of the problem: “For this problem you may not use any results from the lectures or homeworks without proof.” :C |
 Can You Guess the Characters!? The first one should be pretty obvious, but I don’t actually know how obscure the others are. I mean I read about them all the time so I guess they can’t be too hard. If they are I will give hints! I wrote a fairly long blurb about my opinion on comic book movies here if you care. |

@Bob: I didn’t have my homeworks on the midterm… so I just tried to write down what I remembered from the proofs, but I think there was an easier way…

Well Deadpool was only an X-man in a few issues of Cable and Deadpool which still makes him the best X-man of all time. The last character is very familiar but I can’t place it yet.
