 as promised, a zombie comic I have no chance of survival in a zombie apocalypse, fast zombies or not. I will be the first to die. I mean, I’ll be the number one zombie, who starts it all, by becoming spontaneously infected. That’s how bad I would fail. |
 Sorry Derek I have been reading a lot of The Walking Dead and I think it has been rubbing off on me. I have come to realize how screwed I am in the case of a zombie apocalypse. My only saving grace is that my father exists. My dad hasn’t made an appearance in the comic yet but its safe to say that anywhere near him is the safest place in any sort of crisis, even of the zombie kind. |

Actually, there IS a survival guide. I happen to own it, and it is WAY helpful. It covers all the bases, and has actually helped me survive two zombie attacks.
Also, I’m pretty sure “fast zombies” only exist in video games and such, and aren’t an actual threat to your well-being.

Walking Dead is possibly one of my favorite comics, I read the entire series in a two week span. Have you picked up Invincible sean? It’s put out by the same company as Walking Dead and is just as good (unless you aren’t into the whole super-hero thing)
In regards to the zombie apocalypse comic, where is the action?! I’d be more than willing to join your band of post-apocalyptic humans as I have an entire plan worked out for when (NOT IF) the zombies come.

I’ve never dealt with ‘Fast Zombies’ before, but if they are anything like the ‘Fast Homeless’* a buck shot to the knees may solve any difficulty you may have with them.
(*The smell of decomp and the ‘hunger’ leads me to believe there is a similarity)
**Aside: Do Zombies ever poop? They eat flesh but I’ve yet to find any genre of literature, that has hinted to the idea….

I have not yet grabbed Invincible Kyle, but I am planning to once I finish off The Walking Dead. And who isn’t into the super-hero thing these days? Comic book movies has finally made reading comic books cool! Who would of thought? or is it thunk?

@ demicidal: Yeah, Zombies totally poop. They don’t digest the flesh and brains, but they do poop. Rotting flesh just kind of drops out of their asses as they walk. That’s how zombies get you, you start laughing because they’re pooping as they walk. Just like Grandma…

lol yea, I was being more sarcastic when i wrote that but i was sincere. The zombie survival guide is probably the most helpful book to come from our generation. And I think fast zombies are a plot by the Government to keep zombie lovers, such as ourselves, from thinking a Zombie Apocalypse would be totally awesome. Because it totally would.

Yea I hate to admit to being one of the people who didn’t start reading comics until comic-movies got me into it…but I guess thats like the people who hate a band because the band got popular.
I’ve been big into Deadpool lately, which is why I haven’t picked up Walking Dead 52-54 yet…but I’ll probably be heading to the comic shop one of these coming weekends to catch up.
As far as Invincible goes, it is definitely a good read…its a totally fresh view on super heros, the story is rich and progresses exactly the way you (or at least I) want to see it go. Image Comics have several good series, I think once I’ve caught up on everything else I’ll be picking up BRIT which ties in to some of the Invincible characters.
Looking forward to seeing you and Mimi smash some shambling zombies dome-pieces in!!!!

Nik actually has a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide… he’s going to be ready. Maybe I’ll ask him if I can check it out.
and Kyle, Deadpool is Sean’s favorite! I get to hear about him all the time, cause Sean won’t stop talking about x-men.

DEADPOOL ! i saw deadpool mentioned! deadpool is the only reason im going to go see the next xmen movie. I can forget about every other superhero out there as long as i get my smart mouthed whitey jackass of a superhero mister pool. The combination of being a funny jackass that just basically cant die … period just makes him the best to me.

Yush. You both should read the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. As well as World War Z by the same author.
Both great reads.
